
Pediatric Rehabilitation at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center
One of only three triple board programs in the country, providing training and board eligibility in Pediatrics, PM&R, and Pediatric Rehab over a five-year residency.
General Rotation Schedule:
PGY1: 12 months of Pediatrics
PGY2-5: Mix of Pediatrics, adult PM&R, and Pediatric Rehabilitation. Amount of time spent in Pediatric Rehab increases each year, for a total of 12 months over the course of the residency program.
Pediatrics rotations include: Hospital Medicine, Emergency Medicine, NICU, PICU, Primary Care, Neurology, Hematology/Oncology, Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics, Adolescent Medicine, and other subspecialties and electives.
Adult PM&R rotations include: Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation, Consults, Musculoskeletal Clinic, VA Clinic, Prosthetics and Orthotics, EMG. See Adult PM&R page for more details.
Pediatric Rehabilitation rotations include:
Inpatient: taking care of patients on our 12-bed unit or doing consults
Outpatient: seeing patients in a variety of clinics (* indicates a multidisciplinary clinic), such as:

Brain Health and Wellness*
Spina Bifida*
Neuromuscular*
Infant Motor Evaluation Clinic*

We develop a number of procedural skills throughout our pediatric rehabilitation training, including botulinum toxin injections, phenol nerve blocks, and baclofen pump management.
We also have two pediatric attendings certified in ultrasound.
